How Failing in My First Business Taught Me That Mindset Is the Key to Success

Everyone has a journey, a story that defines their life and shapes their future. Mine is a tale of failure and success, of dreams quashed and dreams realised. It's a testament to the power of mindset and self-belief. It's the story of how I went from running a failing business to becoming a Mindset and Business Coach, helping women overcome their fears and embrace success.

My First Business Venture

She's Abundant is not my first business. In 2017, at the age of 27, I became the joint owner of a boutique, nature-based tour company. It was a dream come true; I had manifested a fully operational business without having to buy in. However, success isn't always as straightforward as it seems.

Despite owning a company, I couldn't pay myself. I also didn't believe in myself, a belief reflected by every person who assumed my business partner owned the company and I was just staff. An old man on tour was even shocked to learn that I would be driving the 13-seater van. Deep down, I didn't truly believe that we would be able to pay ourselves a decent, full-time wage. Lack of belief can be a self-fulfilling prophecy, and in this instance, it was.

The Decision to Leave

After 2.5 years of working for pennies without seeing any significant growth, I made the heart-wrenching decision to leave the company. The day I decided to leave the business, I had a panic attack driving home. I had to pull over because I couldn't breathe. The feeling of failure was overwhelming. I felt that I had "wasted" all that time and hadn't gotten anywhere financially. I believed that I had set my partner and me back years from owning a house or getting ahead.

Down the Rabbit Hole of Self-Development

Leaving the business propelled me down a rabbit hole of self-development. Overcoming that feeling of failure took deep mindset work. On the path to healing myself, I discovered the power of the subconscious mind and how we can use it to our advantage in life and business. This was a turning point for me. I realized that failure was not the end, but merely a stepping stone to success.

She's Abundant: A New Beginning

With my newfound knowledge, I knew I had to share it with other women on the same journey as me. I didn't want them to suffer as I had. I wanted to give them the cheat sheet, the fast-track, the path of least resistance. I wanted them to experience ease and flow. And that's what I've created through She's Abundant.

Running She's Abundant is not always easy (I cried just yesterday), but I had more success in the first 6 months than I had in 2.5 years in my first business. Why? Because I believe with every fibre of my being that I am worthy of this success. As a Mindset and Business Coach at the identity level, I know I can make a positive impact on other women's lives.
